How do I register for Walk 'N Wag?

You can register:

• Download a registration form and mail to Ahimsa House, PO Box 8181, Atlanta, GA  31106

How much is the registration fee?

• Adult :$15
• Children 12 and under: $10 (with child size t-shirt only)
• At the door: $20 adults, $15 kids

Is the registration fee per person or per pet?

The registration fee is per person. You may bring more than one pet but they must be under control at all times.

Is Walk n' Wag for dogs only?

No! We have had pet guests of several species. No matter what type of critter you bring, we simply ask that you consider whether s/he will be able to enjoy the exciting atmosphere of Walk n' Wag while remaining safe and under control.

Can I participate without a pet?

Please do join us and have fun with or without a pet!

Do I have to pay the registration fee if I just want to come in and look around?

We encourage everyone to register. Every registration benefits the human and animal victims of domestic violence. However, you are free to come in and peruse the vendor booths, listen to the music, and have some food and fun whether you register or not. Registration is required to participate in the pet parade and contests, and to receive a t-shirt.              

I can’t attend Walk 'N Wag but would still like to make a donation to help the animals. Can I do that?

If you are unable to attend the event you may make a tax deductible donation of any amount. You can donate via the Donate Now! pawprint on the left side of this page, or mail us a check. We thank you for your kindness!

How do I register my pet for the contests?

You do not need to register your pet for the contests. At the time the contests are announced, just bring your dog to the contest area. Your registration wristband, which you will receive at check-in, will allow you entry to the contests.

Can I buy extra t-shirts?

Any remaining t-shirts will be available for purchase at the registration table.

If I register on-line or by mail, how do I pick up my t-shirt?

You will pick up your t-shirt at the Registration table on the day of the event.

Where can I park?

Why should I support Ahimsa House? 

Every dollar Ahimsa House raises goes to a great cause. Ahimsa House is dedicated to helping the human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together. When violence occurs in the home, pets are usually also at risk--yet most domestic violence shelters do not allow people to bring their pets with them. Since our founding in 2004, Ahimsa House has provided over 20,000 nights of emergency shelter for pets until their families could reach safety and reclaim them. We are the only organization of our kind in Georgia, making our services available to the entire state. We do all this with a staff of only two and no government funding of any kind. By choosing to participate in Walk n' Wag, you can be a vital part of this effort and have fun at the same time.
